Financial Aid
About 35% of Watkinson students receive financial aid, offered in the form of direct grants. Watkinson subscribes to the guidelines of The School and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) in computing financial need. Each family fills out a Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS), which must be submitted by January 10 and is then processed by SSS and returned to Watkinson in the form of a Report of Financial Need (RFN). Please note that our school code is 8050. We recommend that you request a copy of the RFN for yourself.

Although Watkinson makes every effort to meet financial aid requests, funds are limited and are awarded on the basis of availability, need, academic performance, academic promise, and the student’s potential contribution to the school community. Watkinson must consider the earning potential of both parents when computing financial need.
Please Note
Watkinson financial aid packages are direct grants, with no repayment requirements.

Grants for returning students are reviewed each February; the continuation of aid and an increase or decrease in amount are decided on the basis of financial need, academic effort, and overall contribution to the school.
