To maintain, improve, and protect the technological infrastructure of Watkinson School while providing the community with resources that support instruction and learning.
The IT Department provides all students, faculty and staff access to computers and Internet based resources, as well as access to training and technical support. Because technology is a dynamic resource, the department constantly monitors and reassesses its technology planning, with the goal of retaining maximum flexibility in meeting the needs of our community.
Our Philosophy
Watkinson provides its students broad experience using computers as tools to improve their productivity, search for creative solutions, and communicate effectively. Technology supports individual learning styles and increases communication among students, teachers, parents, and advisors. We work to help students learn to ask good questions about the validity of their sources and the quality of the information they locate from print and electronic sources. |
