The visual art department provides students with the means to express themselves visually using a variety of tools and methods. The basic principles of art are stressed in every art class combined with discipline appropriate skill sets. Series of assignments guide and encourage our students to find their own creative solutions within the parameters of the assignment.

All classes place emphasis on using visual communication to connect an idea with audience. This practice is fine tuned throughout the year as they learn to describe, analyze, interpret, and judge their work and the work of their peers.
